Born proudly Deaf, Amanprit Arnold is a global Disability Urban Strategist, changemaker, and problem-solver specialising in accessible
design, urban innovation, and inclusive growth.
Driven by her lived experience and pioneering Disability Urbanism practice, Amanprit established DeafCity Hub to address a critical gap: creating a world-class, barrier-free space where the Deaf community can work, connect and lead.
Through DeafCity Hub, she combines DeafSpace design principles with masterplanning vision to break down barriers, empower Deaf-led innovation, and pave the way for truly accessible cities.

The Anastasia Trust was founded in 1986 to build a "London Cultural and Communication Centre for Deaf People". A community centre offering employment support, information, and entertainment facilities for Deaf people.

Triggered by high interest rates, the property market crash, IDCC building plans were halted by the recession. A downturn that hit charity fundraising and property projects across the country hard.

The Anastasia Trust ceases to exist as an independent charity. Its funds and assets transferred to a new charity, SignHealth. SignHealth continues today addressing health inequality rather than a single flagship cultural centre building.
